The Problem With Aiming High

Writing some down on paper when you've got writers block is hard enough. But writing something good, can be even tougher. To some it comes naturally. Unfortunately for me, it's a lot of effort.
The problem is, I always want to write something good. I often don't finish projects because I don't know how to write something witty, deep or beautiful in the first draft.
The solution is: Write a page.
Instead of trying to write a perfect novel the first time round, just get a page done. The beauty of first drafts is they can be improved. Get your first draft down then go back to it. Getting it right first time is almost certainly impossible.
A short but sweet post.
